The Corricella

The colorful fishing village which takes its name from the Greek "kora kalè, the beautiful place", has often been a film set and is among the unmissable visits with its restaurants, small shops and ancient houses, all connected to each other by stairs and common galleries.

Procida DSC 7272The multicolored scenography that embraces the marina can be admired from the Callìa viewpoint, another toponym of Greek origin which means "beautiful things" and which actually offers an extraordinary view. From Callìa you descend to the landing stage via the characteristic Grariata Scura, or via the Gradinata Larga and the Gradinata del Pennino, in front of the small fifteenth-century church of San Rocco. Once you reach Corricella, a pedestrian oasis with an unmistakable maritime feel, where the daily rhythms are marked by the departures and arrivals of fishing boats, you are dazzled by an unparalleled natural light.
